The reinventing of Go Indigo has been a difficult path. For nearly a month Michael Gray and Joel Simpson locked themselves in their home studio to create the new EP “Your New Messages”. The two worked literally day and night to rewrite old songs and add in the right amount of instruments to enhance the tunes as best they could. Over the course of recording Michael wrote two brand new songs “Where You Are” and “Believe in Me” not for audience attention but as a sincere gesture to someone close to him. It was after working on those two songs with Joel that Michael saw the title of the EP coming into play. The phrase “Your New Messages” is Mike’s way of saying that the old songs now have new meanings for him, and thanks to the great set of musicians that have come together, a more polished sound.
Joel Simpson (percussion/vocals) Kelsey Butterfield (Keys/vocals) and Scott Racette(Violin) have contributed to the songs with a priceless effort. No one has been more dedicated then these three people. Also immense help from Gabrielle La Tora and Kim Rogers on cello cannot be forgotten. These two are fine cellists and any group using strings would be happy to have them.
Go Indigo’s new album is one that Michael and the group hope will take them far. However the only way to get there is with the help of old fans and new. The struggle to the top is one not to be taken lightly and the group prays that fans keep an eye on Go Indigo during the coming year. All support is very much a
