I am a strong believer in the Stockdale Paradox: You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end, which you can never afford to lose, with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.
It is nice to be able to return to my beloved Florida after so long away. There is indeed no place like home..........

I know what you mean about the holidays and the snow, I even agree. I just get tired of being cold after Christmas is over and miss the sunshine. Spokane is a great place to live in many ways, the one thing I don't love about it is the winters, they are pretty overcast, and it gets dark around 4 p.m., way to early. That being said, this area is a great place for families, and its relatively safe and not crowded. Oh yes and lets not forget all the beautiful pine trees. This really is a beautiful spot. Still, nothing tops the ocean in my book. I've never been to Florida, I have been to N. Carolina and enjoyed the Outer Banks immensely. Have you ever been to the Northwest?
