KIN is a melodic and progressive rock/metal band situated in Norway. The band is mainly from Lillehammer in Oppland, and have a small number of fans there, but is also somewhat known outside the city. We are hoping, in time, to get to play more outside Lillehammer. :)
KIN saw the light of day in 2003. Back then the starting members were Øyvin, Peder and Petter. Several other members have been in the band, but we now think we have found a good set of members. February 18th 2007 KIN got a new drummer named Fredrik Kværnsveen. Fredrik played very well on his audition and after about ten minutes of playing, KIN decided that he was perfect for the band. Two months later his brother Magnus tried out for the bass, and he got right in as well. Unfortunately they both had to quit in August 2007.
As of November 2007, the lineup is Petter and Øyvin on guitars, Morten on bass guitar and Terje on vocals. We are in the process of finding a new drummer.
So far in KIN history there have been recorded two demos, one in 2005 and one in 2006 (none of these are available for sale). A new EP with several new songs is going to be recorded during the autumn/winter of 2007. We _might_ be selling this to people who are interested, so stay tuned for more info.
The main focus for the band at this time is to write more songs, play gigs and hopefully do more recording in the near future.
