In January of 2007, there was an idea. This idea grew into many thoughts and directions until it started to gain momentum and transform into what is known as "Soapbox Hero": A Christian Rock band composed of veteran musicians and writers to bring together the principals of the Bible with the melodies of Rock and Roll that have been resurrected from the 70's.
People haven't forgotten what good rock and roll is, even though the BIG RECORD LABELS have pushed all this bubblegum nonsense on us for such a long time. We have looked into our musical hearts, remembering bands like The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, Pink Floyd, Blue Oyster Cult, and other experimental/progressive rock bands and seen the trends towards such music today. Even though it seems to be returning to a more musical time, the record companies aren't giving up on the idea that people want the nonsense they continue to push. Granted, not everyone likes the Rock and Roll that inspired these present genres, but everyone can relate to the themes and melodies that are derived from it.
That is what we do. We bring back that classic sound of Rock and Roll, we weave it, spin it and mix it with the Holy Word of God and the stories and principals inside it to present you the listener with that very tasty, long lasting result that hangs out with you through a hard day at work or in that nasty, congested traffic.
