I started my songwriting career in high school, putting together lyrics and chords while waiting patiently. You guessed it - on a girl! We used to sit around the table at her house and someone would grab the guitar and hand it to me. The songs came quick and were sometimes silly. But it was a time in life that I remember vividly.
I spent 3 years studying music in college at a percussionist. My first year, I wrote a song while trying not to fall asleep in econ. As soon as the bell rang, I ran back to the dorm to put the lyrics to music. I don't even remember the words now, but it sure is fun to think back about times like those. Thumbs up - Country Joe!
