Mosaic
Nov 3, 2008
We tend to see events over time, as one would envision a mosaic image, piece by piece. Some pieces are larger than others, and we notice them more. This election is a large piece of an overall picture. Fear begins to set in as we begin to recognize the truth of the whole image. It is the image of the adversary of God, which we, as a nation have been creating for 40 years. It is near completion. Every abortion, every abominable act, every impure thought, each instance of selfishness and greed, drug and alcohol abuse, pornography, and callous, cold indifference to the plight of those less fortunate, are all finding their places in our mosaic. Note the comparison of Obama to Moses. Mosaic Law refers to Moses, and the manner in which God's laws were given to Moses, over many years. These laws combined to give us an image of God. Obama is certainly not the anti-Christ, but he is the anti-Moses. Joel
Reaping the Whirlwind
Oct 16, 2008
A nation that commits war without cause, which slaughters its infants by the tens of millions, and which thrives on a steady diet of greed and lust, cannot be called a Christian nation. In that regard, Obama was right when he said, "America is no longer a Christian nation". Sadly, this happened on our watch. Now, the leading candidate for the Presidency is an avowed Marxist, who not only wants to remove all state power to restrict abortion, but who also has voted in favor of infanticide. He has personally campaigned for a foreign politician, whose Muslim followers have burned Christians alive in their churches. His best friends are terrorists, who hate America and all that it stands for. Can we honestly say that we deserve better? We do not. As overwhelming as our national debt is, and growing greater, it is dwarfed by our spiritual debt. And, we are given signs and warnings. California wanted to live in hell, and so it is burning. New Orleans was drowning in perversion, and it was flooded. We are reaping the whirlwind, and will continue to do so, until we repent as a nation. What will it take to get us there? We probably won't have to wait very long to find out.
Love and Hate
May 4, 2008
There is much pent-up rage in the world today, which is ready to boil over, as soon as the "lid" is off the pot. There are the unfathomable expressions hatred and mockery of God and the Church in San Francisco, as well as in other cities. Has the hatred increased, or is it just more obvious because it has the tacit approval of secular politicians? Does their "blind eye" effectively lift the lid, allowing hatred to surge out and into the fire? Do they encourage hatred, even of God, for political gain? I think, yes. As the hatred boils over, and into the fire, the fire becomes even hotter. When hatred of God boils over, so do all of the other hatreds, between nationalities, races and religions. Many of these are and have been simmering for ages, waiting for the opportunity to explode into violence. What will it take? A stock market crash, or possibly another terrorist attack, to blow the lid off the pot? Do we need to be reminded that the source of the fire is from the pit of hell? Will we become caught up in the surge of hatred ourselves? One politician has recently spoken of the total annihilation of one nation, if another nation is attacked. What purpose does this serve, except to exploit hatred for political gain? Even a well known Christian Evangelist has given his "blessing" to mass genocide in the name of faith. Sanity, it seems, is in short supply. The "quick fix" to those who disagree with us, is simply to push a button, and vaporize them. It is only by prayer that we can hope to minimize the death and destruction of those who continue to fan the flames. May God hear our prayers.
Of Love and Harmony
Jan 24, 2008
I believe that love is spiritual harmony, and that music is a spiritual experience. The more life-affirming and harmonious music is, the more it is spiritually uplifting, and the closer it brings us to God. The style of music can vary, as long as it is not disharmonious. Differing musical styles reminds me of how Jesus said that there are many rooms in His Father's house. Imagine a different musical style in each room, but all joined as one in praise of Him. Sounds like heaven to me.
Thought For Today

Humility is the most profoundly eloquent expression of love.

When we are called by God, we always answer. Believe in Him to guide and inspire you to your fullest ability. Be ready to be amazed at what happens. He awaits each of us at the finish line. Make your life a gift to give Him when you meet. May He bless and keep you.
A new photo album was added today, which includes short stories and prayers for children. Hope you find something there which you like.
