Ascension is a musical alias of Chris Hickman. Chris has been making music since college, starting out w/ Fruity Loops on a old Compaq computer to a fully fledged studio 4 years later w/ an array of keyboards and modules. The sound is primarily sample based in jazz,soul,funk,electronic with a pallete of synthesis deep rooted in hiphop sensibilities. Ocassionally working with vocalists, The Ascension project is mostly instrumental. The debut EP, Momentum was finished in August of 06 and the LP will arrive Fall of .
