THE BIOGRAPHY OF JAY-WILL
JAY-WILL (Jonathan Wilson), was born in Hempstead N.Y.
His mother (Jo-ann Wilson) always told him stories about
his child hood. She told him at his early age of three years
old she’d take him to church. After a good service little
Jay would go home and mimic single notes of the church
hymns that he previously heard during the service. Over the
Years growing up, he became influenced by ideal piano
players such as, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, and Stevie Wonder.
As well a much more various selection. His level has
upgraded at that time with special thanks to their tunes.
When Jay became a young teenager, his influences changed.
His interests swayed more towards gangster rap music.
He then took his talent of mimicking and put it towards
learning lyrics to songs word for word. Tupac shakur
had a major impact on his interests as well as attitude.
One day in his English class his teacher issued a project
to all students on writing a poem to express how they
felt. At the time he didn’t know the first thing about writing poems,
but the next Saturday morning he satdown on his couch and thought about how the world was
going, and ended up writing a poem with an unusual pattern
and rhythm. This was the birth of a new rapper. He became
fascinated on how good his poem came out he just wanted to
write more and more. He began to sit in the ciphers at the
lunch table with all the experienced rappers and absorbed
their sounds into one.
