First and fore most I want to thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to do what I do......I was born and raised in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico ( Los Piratas ) At the age of 9, I began my studies in music with Julian Acosta the son of Mr. Juan Acosta composer of the classic danza " Bajo La Sombra De Un Pino " .......... At the age of 15 I continued my studies at " La Escuela Libre De Musica Limon Arze " in Arecibo, PR. My teachers there were Victor "Cano" Gonzalez Trumpet player of El Gran Combo DE Puerto Rico, and Miguel Rodriguez Sax player for Roberto Roena Y Su Apollo Sound. Some of the bands that I had the Opportunity to work with in P.R. at this time were Los Hermanos Vidot, Arecibo 2000 and La Orquesta La Oportunidad. I later joined the US Air Force fro 4 years. Upon completion of my obligations in the military I attended The University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. I later moved to Patterson, NJ and lived there for a couple of years and traveled to New York City to play for Orquesta Fila.............. From there I moved to Hartford,Ct. and played for several local conjuntos and bands...... I later formed my own conjunto that I named Conjunto Pueblo that has evolved to what is now Orquesta Pueblo. With this Orquesta we have been able to perform at all types of venues from concerts to night clubs such as Azucar, Cassona and outdoor concerts throughout the New England area...........
