I play guitar in a couple of bands. I Absolutely hate rap music, punk rock, and modern pop, with a vengeance. What i do like is Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Acid rock, Blues Rock, Folk-Rock, Hard Rock, Blues, and some of the classics of country. Mostly anything from 1950-1979 is my stuff, often 1967-1978, but thats basically my areas. I do have exceptions, like, i like some 80's bands, like Guns N' Roses, John Mellencamps later stuff. But really I stick to the aforementioned 1969-1978. Check out my Awesome band, "The Rising Wind".
