Free Association Bio
Free Association is a collaboration of guitarist/composer Steve Janbahan and tenor saxophonist/composer Randal Fisher. Formed in the summer of 2010, Free Association blends jazz, funk, rock, and blues with their brand of original music. They have performed in various venues in southern California, provided music for countless public and private events, and compose various styles of music for any occasion. Steve Janbahan was born in Las Feliz, California. He is currently studying jazz with Ron Anthony and attending Pierce College. He has worked with Jaman Laws, Ronnie Laws, Guru, Meleo Robinson, and Joey Heredia to name a few. Randal Fisher was born in Los Angeles, California. He is also attending at Pierce College and has studied with Rickey Washington, Jeff Clayton, Reggie Andrews, and Jesse Sharps. He as performed with Aloe Blacc, Verdine White of Earth, Wind and Fire, Mahmoud Ahmed, and Charles Wright. Other members of the band include Roger Moreau, Jamal Williams, and Jaman Laws. An up and coming band in the Los Angeles music scene, Free Association will release their solo album of original music coming soon.
