Hannibal aka Uptown aka Billy G Williams was born Feb. 15 1985 at Grady Hospital in Atl G.A. Son of Joe and Wendy Rickerson Hannibal lived a very sheltered life. "I didn't want my family living in these crazy enviornments so i kept a job and worked my way out" says Joe. But with all the love, shelter and moving away from the rough areas you could almost guess was just not enough to keep Hannibal out of trouble. "I was so young when i moved that it was just weird seeing everything change, one minute you in da hood and the next you in the burbs wondering why you da only black kid in class". Hannibal although saw through the racial barriers being friends with almost every nationality creed or class. "Man i was cool wit niggas and red necks like making be cool wit each other and shit" says Hannibal. At age 16-17 Hannibal would commonly not go to school and go start trouble in the neighborhoods with friends. At 17 Hannibal was living everywhere he could from friends to friends to sometimes just the streets."I hated being broke and nobody would hire me cuz i had messed up everywhere so i started selling drugs and hitting licks for dis older dude". This would lead to Hannibal being arrested multiple times and seeing that his life was meant more than just being a thug. With no piano lessons or any relevance to music Hannibal started make beats. "I was always able to rap but i liked the way music sound so much i just started puttin all my money into equipment and everybody started to invest in me when they saw my drive and raw talent". Hannibal started making beats for almost anyone who rapped in the streets he would make 10 beats a day and record all the local artist he would meet."I knew my shit wasn't that good yet so i would just try to work with any and everybody and try to get alot of input on what i was doin and what people liked". Now all of the work and grinding is paying off Hannibal has been in the studio working with all hot up and coming artist such as Yung L.A , Yung Woo, J-money, 45 and many more. Hannibal also works with a number of other talented producers such as DBOII aka T-Man, Cyrus, Tyler Howey and Fetti from the Drum Majors.
