I have been going to school and just got my 1001 Firefighter Level 1 and 2 with Ops 472 and Wildland 1051(it was quite an achievement for me to do this).Bought a drum kit(Pearl Target Series), and I've been playing for 3 years (self taught).I just recently bought a mic system for it, and trying to find the right tune before I put my samples out.I'm now kinda interested in picking a keyboard(or 2), and use 8bit or 16bit synths in my music for some odd reason. Its been awhile since I've played piano, but I think it'll be a great time learning again.

Anamanaguchi
Aug 26, 2010
I find myself quite intrigued by the chiptune punk band Anamanaguchi, maybe cause I'm getting older and hearing old school midi tunes blaring out of my speakers is somehow refreshing to hear.Listening to what the mainstream listens (though there is some good stuff from the mainstream) it usually is more stupid, less thoughtful insight from rich, insecure, pointless avatars that people want to be like.If you want different, check out Anamanaguchi, or buy Scott Pilgrim The Game on the 360 or PS3 to hear their amazing work while you beat teenagers with a baseball bat.

Okay, I am a huge fan of Mind.in.a.box, but very few people know about them, so I have to speak up.This new album R.E.T.R.O. is not I expected them to do. Very little lyrical songs, but its still a decent album although the name title shows that its an acquired taste. If you like 8bit videogame synths mixed to a Mind.in.a.box style, then do check it out.
Metallica is back!

Yes,finally a album from Metallica that doesn't suck! Its been quite a few years since their last album St. Anger which of course, did not meet the expectations we were hoping for.The first 4 albums were amazing but continued to slump over the years,(though I did like the twist of San Francisco Symphony album in 1999)but this time they pulled it off.The best of the album for me was All Nightmare Long for its amazing guitar solo, this song makes me wanna headband a lot. There is a problem with CD itself concerning the decibels.Apparently the album has been criticized for having compromised sound quality and being compressed past the point of distortion. So whether you want to buy or wait till they fix this problem check out Death Metallica.
Mago de Oz - Gaia

Now, I don't normally listen to music that is not English, but this one caught my eye.Its a hybrid of metal and a Irish pub melted together, and it works perfectly.Mago de Oz has made plenty of albums over the years, but if you wanted only one, choose this one;you will not regret the decision, unless you hate Spanish metal band altogether. : /
Mind.in.a.box - Crossroads
Oct 14, 2007
I'm a fan of their unique style, everyone who loves electronica should check out their new album "Crossroads".I've listened to some of them already and I am already loving it.Amnesia, Identity,Stalkers, and Crossroads sound more different than what they normally do with their tracks. There is 12 tracks but 2 of them are only intro's.Although 10 tracks does seem pretty short, I take quality over quantity.Check it out Edit: Fear, and The Place are also recommended.
