Supa Nova Slom is no stranger to conflict.
Born in the heart of Brooklyn, Supa Nova spent a part of his youth on the streets of New York. He was barely a teenager when he started running with gangs and within a few years, it was clear that he would have to find his own way out.
He took a sojourn to the South and when he came back to Brooklyn, he had a life-changing realization. Before long, he started taking his ideas for social healing back to the streets he had grown up on.
In 2003, Supa Nova released a DVD/CD combo, Holistic Wellness for A Hip Hop Generation . To date, it has sold over 100,000 copies and continues to fly off the shelves. BET.com has noted it as "a documentary that is going to teach self-improvement to the hip hop generation."
Today—with his very own RA RA NTRtainment Record Co —Supa Nova is bringing his skills as an MC front and center. His debut release Unify the Hood, Heal the Hood is more than just a platform: it is a musical milestone in the making.
The first single, " G's Up Salute," features The Game and Jadakiss and the rest of the album brings together an even larger cast of hip hop's elite, including Ice-T, Dead Prez, Erykah Badu, and others.
