Vide Infra (Killswitch Engage Lyrics) w/ comments
Apr 25, 2007
============================== Bored, got nothing else to do here in the office so i thought id write a blog (which is a first lols) anyways, certain lyrics makes songs unique and stand out to others. Like the work of Killswitch Engage (specifically jesse still on vocs) Vide Infra which i think is kinda interesting, especially lyrically. He is very passionate on what he is doing when he was still in KsE (Killswitch Engage) and that his composition basically composes of experiences, his view about certain fields and also maybe about his different frustration in life =). This is my first blog so bare with me :P If you wanna know more about the band feel free to visit their website http://www.killswitchengage.com =) enjoy ================== I have opened my eyes to see the world that surrounds me daily I refuse to be led by the majority can't compromise I and I to pass judgement judgement will be passed upon you I will stand up for who I am never moved by condemnation no one is placed higher than another no matter race or creed or gender we must teach forgiveness and compassion for all life through understanding of our differences we will find respect for one another we are all flesh and blood I am not afraid to speak my mind no matter the consequences stay true to myself through the humble eyes of a child we will realize true equality they cannot take me from me they cannot take you from you they cannot take I from I ============================== imho, the first time i ever heard this song was i think last year of summer, and im not into KsE (killswitch engage) yet. But by the time i started listening to them (mostly albums w/ jesse) i already knew that band is gonna be one of may favorite band ever lol. Musically, and lyrically, i consider them one of the pioneers of metalcore (which up to now many people debates the true meaning lol). And god the pinch harmonics *drooools*, there are only few bands i know that can handle great pinch harmonics in studio and even in live performance (better watch their dvd if you have doubts ^_^) anyways back to Vide Infra, i think the theme that jesse used in this song is equality. The way people treat each other and that some part on the lyrics specifically stated that he didnt care about what people might have to say if he'd do this or that, and that each person must show his true color and that its up to the people to respect them, and for that we shall have equality =)
