Harmonica Vic comes from a very musical family: Uncle Djordje [George] was a well-known, world-wide nightclub singer; brother is the Great "Harmonica Zeke;" and son is singer/songwriter/instrumentalist/recording artist, "Chris Nathan." Vic has always followed harmonica music, first learning to play from his mother who taught him simple melodies. Vic incorporates the styles of Doc Watson, Sonny Boy Williamson I and II, Paul Butterfield, Jimmie Fadden and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, etc. into his performances. He has shared the stage with Canada Juno winners, such as Dutch Mason and Vann "Piano Man" Walls, and has played regional festivals (Thomas Homestead Festival and Knowlton's Got the Blues [the forerunner to Mont Tremblant Blues Festival]), and with country artist Jimmy Kaye, Harmonica Zeke, and legendary piano man Stan Szelest. Vic was 1/2 of Built for Comfort for 16 years, from 1978 to 1994.
Cinde provides warm harmonies, rhythm guitar, and lead vocals on a compilation of songs from artists such as Ma Rainey, Billie Holiday, and Odetta, all the way to Little Walter, Brownie McGhee, and Hank Williams Sr. A troubled youth, Cinde turned to music as a way to smooth over some of the pain in her life, keeping the one thought in her mind from her loving grandmother,"whatever you do, never lose your faith." It paid off one night while the CSharp Band was performing at Colden Lakes and Vic and Cinde's paths crossed, and they have been together ever since.
