I started playing guitar when I was 11 in Fountain Valley, California, after my grandparents gave me an acoustic guitar they found in a trash can (not kidding!). It was love at first sight. Soon after, my mother gave me a better guitar after I won a local spelling bee and I took some lessons. We moved to The Netherlands in 1973. I continued to teach myself and soon started playing in local bands in a town called Zutphen. I had a great time there playing in a band called 'Requiem' and our local claim to fame was when we got to play at the coveted 'Paradiso' club in Amsterdam. After that, we split up and all pursued different endeavors. During the 80's I played in several other Dutch bands like "Dr. Pepper', 'Rogues' Gallery' and 'No Dice', and in 1993 I moved to the U.S. to become a pilot, which I am to this day. Today, I am playing in a band called '4th Rock'. We play music that we like (mostly classic rock and 80's metal) at local bars and festivals. We DO NOT play country.
