Steel Bluestone: Where to begin? This entity was created in 1998 under the tutelage of Chris Inrig. After playing some percussion for me when I was doing gigs with my sister Beth Gonder(back up vocals), he brought in Mark Squires on Bass......the two of them conspired to bring in Ang Bianco on lead guitar and what came of that was absolute freakin' bedlam!!!!
We kicked serious butt and played original works in pubs in London, Hamilton and Toronto. We stayed original playing creations written by Mark and myself and eventually Ang too!
Thanks to the Doors Pub in Hess Village, Hamilton we had a house gig and eventually created this CD. Jordan Abraham of JSG Studio helped us create our demo in 1999.
We wanted a very 'live' sound with very little effects as we wanted to keep our sound real. What you hear is what we sound like live, most songs are one or two takes. We embellished for some back up harmony and Ang doubled on some melodic intervals but we still kept it raw and avoided the effects. We had some awesome fans who loved our originality and supported our growth. Thanks for checkin us freaks out!!
