I have a really old body with a young brain. Music has been my life but had to stop gigging due to really shit arthritis in my hands and other health issues (lots lol), but like most of you will know you just cant give up when its in the blood.
So I play around with Reason/Record and chuck out a few tunes from time to time for fun.. I have a deep routed love of blues and rock but my musical taste and influences reach out far beyond that, in fact the diversity of tunes in my music collection often amazes me.
I think the real influences on me were Peter Green, Jeff Beck, Santana, Wishbone Ash, Robin Trower, and Sabbath while growing up. Peter Green for the God like conversion of blues to his way of thinking. JB for the use of the instrument, Santana for the sweetness of tone, WA for the construction of those guitar harmonies, Trower for just being great and Sabbath for the whole cool riff thing. These days I listen to a lot of Eric Johnson, Satch, Vai, Jeff Beck, SRV, hell the interwebz just not big enough to list the rest.....
