June 6, 1983 Edward Cortez Hines entered Grady Hospital greeting all that was waiting for his arrival. A passion for music started for Hollywood at an early age. To bring the words from Edwards mind onto paper was a daily routine that started in numerous spiral notebooks. Coming up in Mt. Carmel Church was a way for Hollywood to get his foundation started for audio and video. Although, Hollywood had a spiritual upbringing it did not stop him from lusting after the money in the streets. Early in his adult years, Hollywood was caught in a gunfight with a fellow about miniature issues that resulted in death. By age 22, he was facing a ten year sentence, however, the police concluded that it was self defense, so he was released. Incarcerated four times for multiple offenses; this was only the beginning of numerous transgressions that followed. The felonies that trailed Hollywood only furthered him towards the comfort of the Lord. Hollywood feels strong about reaching out to the youth to show them that life is not all about being in the streets. “Bringing the trap to the church,” has been Hollywood’s motto since he got started.
