I was born in a 1930's semi just off the M1 in a hotbed of small town paranoia and side-burns called Notown. I have since lived in many places and travelled around Europe and central America, I now live in Birmingham which is apparently Englands second city but is often treated like a dog turd or an uncle with leprosy. I love living here and have been greatly inspired by the rattle and hum of the big city, including the race riots and alfresco butchery that can flare up from time to time.
I've been in and out of bands since I was sixteen from The Switch (terrible Mod band) to Automatika and inbetween The Sliding Door people who, with hind-sight, were my favourite if least accomplished. I love writing songs and have done so since before my first band. Initially I was obsessed with lyrics and language but over the years I've expanded my musical knowledge and my vocal range. I play guitar and bass and dabble with samples and drum beats. I haven't played live in ages but I'm thinking of giving it a go again soon, once I've sorted the logistics out.
