From the bright lights of “Sin City” (Las Vegas) NV, Christian Alternative Rock-Goth singer/songwriter Retta Rizzo is making noise. She lends her God-given vocals & lyrical talents to creating such twisted sounds, that fans can’t help but turn their ear closer. Her upcoming album “World In Pain” is a resounding testament to God’s saving grace.
It’s been said that Retta has the voice of an angel. Having embraced the dark side that is present right before The Light shines, you may consider it the voice of the “Angel of Death.” Her message that “ people are often uncomfortable with death, the dark and topics that aren't "pretty." Something she’s recently embraced ... “the Light came BECAUSE of the dark. There is beauty in pain. The lessons we have the opportunity to learn in life, are often hushed because they are topics no one wants to address. Thorns may bring blood ... but they also protect the flower & enable it to grow."
Besides being a gifted singer and song writer, Retta is a wife and home schooling mother. She married her manager in June 1991. Her husband and children are involved in every aspect of her career and can be found at every appearance.
Retta was exposed to the entertainment industry at a very young age & fondly remembers sitting with Chris Lemmon as he sang "Sentimental Journey" to crowds of people. At the age of 6 she landed a role in a Disney Christmas special co-starring with Lucille Ball where she sang her way into the fiery red heads heart.

LIfe has been crazy, fun and full. We're expecting a blizzard so today will definitely be spent writing, playing with my kids and staying warm. I might get some recording done. No matter what, I'll just enjoy my weekend!
