Green Lights are a 3 piece that came together via Monaghan, Drogheda & Dublin. The band began in 2005 when schoolfriends and long-running bandmates Daniel & Colin decided to form their own band. Nigel joined in early 2006 and brought a new dynamic to the band's sound.
Green Lights utilise whatever technology or instrument that's required to make each song work. Sometimes this just means guitar, piano and drums but often we find marimbas, egg-shakers or homemade drum machines being used.
Our influences range from current trend-setters like The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Tom Vek to older favourites of alternative music like Radiohead and Pavement
