I started Rap-A-Flyer Productions back in 2000, here in Denver. Mainly because I moved from California and I was involved in music and promotion there. I moved out in 1999 and just started to look up the local rappers and shows. Nobody had an idea of who I was so, I began showing an interest in the local scene. Shortly after I hooked up with L.O.C, Playalitical,KP, and Slim from 107.5 just to name a few. I began to aquire venues like Fat City, MGM's, and The Castle @ 120th and I-25. Began my web site and recieved some backing by Basmentalism here in Boulder.
Business was good, but my home life took the reprecutions, I was about to get Married and my fiance just had my son so the time that I was spending elsewere was not apreciated. After that I stopped cold, the family thing got worse so I went to back to California, the truth is that I go home at least once a year but this time I stayed for at least a year. I did some work, mostly producing and a little promotions but, It was no longer my home. Colorado is now were I consider my home. Since I've been back I have promoted a few shows but, nothing like I would care to. Its all a matter of time, funds and of course over all support.
I'm gonna leave you with this one though in mind, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY. Whether that be through promoting, sponsoring, or be that with a purchase of a CD.
