J.CLYDE, a southern based artist from Newport News, Virginia began writing music at the age of 17. Already an intriguing writer and poet, music was his way to get his thoughts and opinions to a broader and wider audience. Born in the 1983, his name ‘J.Clyde’ derives from J.Clyde Morris Blvd. where he was raised.
J.CLYDE’s music could be thought of as inspirational music for people in the everyday struggle of life. Music is his influence. As a member of FCF; Family Comes First, he is the first to put a solo effort together & has a 3 volume mixtape series entitled Virginia is 4 Hustlers. The latest effort, The 7 City Stretch is labeled as the most complete to date.
J.CLYDE is also a graphic designer (J.ClyDesigns, Inc.) specializing in cd covers, advertisements, photo touch ups, etc. Some of his work can be viewed @ myspace.com/jclydedesigns. J.CLYDE’s goal in music and life is to reach people not like him so they can understand the people who are and to uplift the people who are.
