I began writing seriously about 12 years ago. Started off with some bad poetry. Eventually, though, God was able to get through this thick skull and pour some nice stuff in there. My strength is lyrics. So, when you listen to a song, except for "In America", I would appreciate more feedback on the content rather than my voice or the music. I've been playing guitar for about 11 yrs, and this is as good as it has gotten! Shame, ain't it?!!
"In America" is one a friend of mine took under his wing. Man, look what he done did with it!!!!

Got another blog over at: http://stinasman.blogspot.com. Talk about stuff in there I don't feel right talkin' 'bout in here. Like Erdheim-Chester Disease. I hadn't heard of it either, 'til they diagnosed me with it :-) . Oops!! Mentioned that before. Sorry!
New info.

Got a diagnosis of Erdheim-Chester Disease. Very rare. But, reacts well to Interferon-Alpha. A sigh of relief there.
Don't be afraid. C'mon in and sit a while.

Right now is a difficult time for us. We're dealing with a growth in my head called a "Xanthogranuloma". Basically, it's fatty, yellow scar tissue and is so rare in the brain, they can't get research grants to test procedures/treatments. They are going to try radiation, and this may happen at Emory in Atlanta. This thing began around my pituitary gland, grew out to surround my carotid arteries and is now into the backs of my eyes. But, my faith says, "He ain't gonna drop me". God's right here beside me all the way and will give me the strength to handle whatever's next.

"In America" is a special gift, I think. Please give her a listen. A friend of mine, who owns Hopeful Dreamers Studio, did a tremendous job on the production. Thanks.
Well, Doc says my MRI results show "no appreciable growth in the orbits or nasal area compared to previous studies". I'm guessing, in doc language, that's good news. His assistant was extremely pleased. Actually, I'm sure it is. I just love the way they phrase things so that it sounds like a good report, but you're not quite sure . Seeing as how once people had about two years to live when diagnosed with this stuff, and I've KNOWN about something, in my head at least, for eight years, I'm doin' pretty darn good . We did discuss another full body bone scan. But, we shall see what ol' doc Friedman says. PS- I did tell all about my Facebook Cuase page, didn't I? Ah, just in case: http://apps.facebook.com/causes/97118?m=e9565&recruiter_id=16154293 I've got a blog at: http://walter327-goodintentions.blogspot.com/ that I try to keep up with, too.
