A born performer since the age of seven, Calvin has gained recognition as an influential vocalist throughout the East Coast and Midwest: Alabama, Georgia, Washington, DC, New York, and Michigan. Calvin moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2003 to pursue his undying love for music. In May 2005 and 2007, Calvin was invited to perform during the two-day Annual Sweet Auburn Festival in Atlanta, Ga. In March 2006, he graced the stage as the opening act for CeCe Penniston in Atlanta, GA, giving an awe-inspiring performance. He was selected as a finalist out of 500 contestants in the V-103 Pepsi Smash Showcase hosted by Tosha Love, earning him generous acclaims from the judges (Geffen Records/ Universal/ Island-Def Jam/Capitol). He was told, “Calvin you have the voice that transcends any genre”. Calvin has also performed at venues such as, The Atrium in Atlanta, Ga., Georgia World Congress Center/ La Femme Productions "Get Your Shine On", Cobb Galleria’s/ The Best of Georgia, Crowe’s Nest in Atlanta, Ga; where he won the 2006 Adonis International Showcase, Apache Cafe, Justin’s Showcase for Patchwerk / Sho’ Nuff records, Café 290’s "Who Got That Vibe! Showcase; where the owner, enjoyed him so much he has given Calvin an open door policy to return, and also Sugar Hill where he has made several appearances at the request of Patchwerk.
