skedache , aka Joshua Hansen is a dj/producer who dwells in the small coastal town of Arcata in northern california. He has been producing his own style of experimental electronica with an organic fusion of folk and trip hop, as well as a large amount of instrumenta hiphop and trip hop for about a decade.
As a dj and performer, skedache started back in 2000 spinning dance music in the sf bay area. After progressing from drum and bass and experimental downtempo to a very tribal techno style, he quickly became a luminary in the san francisco underground party scene. Collaborating with djs such as Forest Green, Juan Segovia and Noah Pred before deciding to leave the city behind to find a little peace of mind and seclusion in the beautiful North Coast if California, wherein he discovered that the dance culture thrives just as well in more remote areas such as Humboldt County.
Joshwah continues to stay colse with the Ataraxia Collective (his bay area family that excels in throwing psytrance, breaks and psycadelic techno events) and can be found on the dance floor (and occasionally behind the decks) at Gaia Rhythms, Paragon and Deep Groove Society events up in Humboldt County.
