Oktayne artist/songwritter of Nothern CA has been very quiet with his music endeavors with a few mixtapes and site features under his belt,  as he looks to break his silence. He silently dropped his last LP "Self-Explanations,” on iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, Napster and other online stores in 2009. Before, after and during the long production time, Oktayne released a few mixtapes, “Self-Explanatory, Vol. I, Tell Em' I'm On I and Tell Em' I'm On II” which all had over 1000 online downloads with little marketing on www.thatcrack.com. If listeners are into LL Cool J, Lupe Fiasco or Fabolous, they definitely want to listen to Oktayne. “I learned that you must let people know you exist before you drop an album no matter how good it is,” says Oktayne. Oktayne has gain recognition on a podcast called QSJ Radio, where his song Neva Thought got into their top 100 countdown at number 14. Which is quite an accomplishment for an artist that people haven't really fell in love with. Oktayne brought along G-Funk and Kajmir Royale from "Self-Explanations," to add to the mix of Sledgren, The Invasion and Kriss Liss to balance out the sound he wants for the album. The album "Feature Presentation," may be his best body of work in his early going. Judging from the material on the album it touches two demographics. The demographics of ladies from 19-26 and real hiphop heads of many ages will love the album the most. The album sparked an idea called 24 which will bring awareness towards the album
