Born April 9th 1985, 22 year old Shava L. Jamerson (Shava Jay) is known for her enthusiastic personality and dynamic writing skills. With drive and determination, she managed to escape the wicked streets of Flint, Michigan. Like a rose growing up from concrete, Shava Jay blossomed into something amazing. She has transformed from young girl to young woman. Humbly, I introduce you to the calm and mellow sounds of Shava Jay.
Shava Jay is a graduate of Wilberforce University with a degree in Mass Media Communications. With a nine-year commitment to music, Jay stay’s faithful and true. Her only obligations at this time are to make a difference in music, the media, and society’s perception of what a young woman is supposed to be. She exemplifies this in a new and creative way. She enjoys making music with perceptions that everyone can relate to. She is a small woman with a big heart and a soothing voice. With your mind and heart in the right place how can you go wrong? Just like most young women Shava has experienced some life changing situations and she is not at all afraid to speak of them through her music. She feels that music is good for healing and expression. You can find every emotion in her music. No matter what you are looking for, Shava Jay’s goal is to make music that is timeless.
