Michael E. Coleman Biography: This letter serves as an introduction to Michael E. Coleman. Michael Eugene Coleman began his extensive career as a musician in Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1971. After relocating to South Bend, Indiana he played with a number of bands whose musical sounds ranged from the classic Jazz standards, to the foot stomping sounds of Down Home Funk. After finishing high school, armed with only his self-taught musical reading ability and style techniques he auditioned and became the Guitarist for the Indiana University Jazz ensemble and performed for one year as the ensembles Guitarist. After a successful year with Indiana University, he co-founded and became the band leader of �Congressional Funk�. That experience wet his appetite for a professional career as a musician, songwriter, and producer. In 1983 he met and began a tour with �Tangie �N� Tommie� a husband and wife duo from Columbus, Ohio. After the tour he relocated to Houston, Texas and worked with Archie Bell & The Drells. After two years working the Houston/Dallas entertainment scene, he decided to pursue his education in the entertainment industry and relocate to Atlanta, Georgia. Since moving to Atlanta, Michael had the pleasure of working with such greats as The Platters, The Impressions, and Clarence Carter. In the 90�s I worked on the Scotia Prince Cruise lines.
