Born in Newark, NJ and raised in Adel, Ga ShaRod has a style of his own. His inspiration ranges from his boredom with music regularly played on the radio to his passion to have good music at his disposal. ShaRod is one of few artist who writes his own lyrics as well as producing his own beats. Another one of ShaRod's many standout musical abilities is to create a following where there is no following. Growing up in a small city in southern Georgia presented many obsticles for an aspiring rap artist. What ShaRod chose to do is study these obsticles, infiltrate each, and destroy them one by one, 16 bars at a time. ShaRod chose to and continues to break through the many boundaries that the majority of the hip-hop community have put up for artist in the south and plans to make the new generation of crap on radio obsolete with his clever while still intelligent style of music. ShaRod is 23 years old, has been rapping for over 10 years, producing for over 5 years, and doesn't see an end to his music. Unlike many artist, his passion for music has never been driven by what he wishes to obtain from a career in music. ShaRod has set goals for himself and he has no doubts that they will be reached. His primary goal is to be heard. Though he says he doesn't have a favorite artist, he does reveal that the only artists he truly respects are artist who have proven their longevity in the industry such as Jay-Z, LL Cool J, and OutKast.
