I was lucky to have grown up in the 1960s with siblings much older than me. They exposed me to all their music, like Doors, Airplane, Stones, Cream, Dylan, Allmans, Creedence, Country Joe, Miles Davis, you name it! I even got to see Jim Morrison perform. I'm a "natural" drummer having taught myself to play at age 10. I started playing guitar at around age 16, teaching myself by playing along to the Stones, Allmans, Clapton, Zappa, Zeppelin, etc...
