Rap is dead. To me rap just hasn't taken a breath in years. This art as it is sometimes called, has taken too many steps away from reality. Rappers have traded in their honesty for A Jacob watch or a part time pull out Jonny grill. Rappers used to be leaders, but to be a leader you have to be a reader and it's obvious that the only subject these Mcs are studying in is fiction. There is a place for rapping about the dope game, bling bling, foreign cars and big rims, but I miss the days when rap music really touched me. How many times have you heard these rappers say keep it real??? Yet they are the very ones on t.v. with a fake grill in their mouth. I mean what excuse do you have for having a pull out grill if you are a rapper, it's not like you have to pull'em out when you go to your Nine to Five??? But that brings us back to another point, most of these rappers have failed to make a dime in this music business. You just can't spend all your time in the studio and zero on the streets promoting it. Some confuse going to music conferences or dick riding someone who has already made it back stage is actually building a fan base. I mean I get a hundred emails a day from rappers trying to get on saying that there the hottest thing in the streets, but when I go to their myspace page they have like 7 song plays for the whole day. I'm just really disappointed in rap, I expected so much more out of these talented guys I used to look up to. What's wrong with telling your fans that you feel like shit, that your record label ain't paid you a dime, that your girlfriend fucked your best friend, that you can't afford a Jacob watch, someone stole your rims that you bought with your 9 to 5 job, or that your records just ain't selling anymore cause you got big headed and forgot the ones who got you there in the first place??? What's wrong with just saying you ain't fly, that no one liked you in school, telling the world how disappointed you were when you got the first week soundscan report and you didn't sell shit even though your Major label spent a million on your promotion budget????????? Just be fucking honest with the fans. Stop promoting Nike and all these other companies that ain't paying you for wearing their shit even though they make millions off us. Step up to the mic and tell the government that you are sick and tired of the Iraq BUSH war and paying his fucking $3.50 a gallon for gas!!! Do you actually think 2pac would have sat aside and said nothing about the way these politicians are screwing us daily??? Step up to the mic and lead your fucking people out these ghettos into the bookstores, libraries and business schools to help society and your communities. Stop telling the world how many people you shot and how many kilos that you dreamt about selling in your dreams last night. Jeezy said everything that could be said about slanging on "Trap or Die" so we all can move on now. Rappers need to stop lying!!!!! We all know that you ain't Tony Montana, Your not the Godfather, your not in the Mob, and riding on 13" inch rims isn't the same thing as skyscraping homie. When rapping pays your rent then you a professional, record label or not. Rap is on the verge of extinction. What doesn't grow is in the process of dying. Rap needs to take a breath or let us all bury it with fond memories of what could have been.

I'm taking my new music in another direction, all these rappers today are limited on their subjects and topics.......how many times can u say u sell dope and how many times can u tell them u riding on big rims??????? I know half of these rappers on these records out and they aint got what they talking bout. I'm gonna keep it real with my fans and rap about pain, my friends dying, my boys locked up, and other issues more in my music because they can relate to that. The internet has changed the game for INDY artists, I'm getting a $1.00 a download and I've got worldwide distribution, so what do I need a major for????????? $10,000 per show a couple shows a month and these labels in New York can't offer me anything I don't Already have or could buy if I wanted it! I'm not just rapping I'm leading a movement. I represent the underdogs. When u see me in my pictures flipping off the camera I'm flipping off these major label's bull shit contract offers!
