Father bought her a guitar when aged 10 thereabouts, from Frank Hessy's in Liverpool, where the 'Beatles' bought their first proper guitars.
Alack, after more than a year playing air guitar and noodling around in front of the bedroom mirror, all she could play was the 'Harry Lime' theme on one string; boy, these days she plays guitar behind her head!
A musical catalytic turn of events came about at 16. Upon encountering a Californian 'Born again' Christian group and being absolutely gob smacked by the sheer power of their music and song, determined that she too had to posses that 'black magic' and ability to move people!
Within 6 months she was a signed up member, singing and playing guitar, eventually to move in and join the group.
For the next 12 years, music was to figure strongly in her life, it was her bread and butter, busking and travelling the world, whilst performing with the movement.
The 90's were spent writing music for corporate videos, jingles, radio and gigging. Record companies approached, but continually sought to mould her into 'the sound of the day,' so as to please the 'share holders,' twas doomed to failure. a bad thing?
During this time she was introduced to Donavan, John Denver, Paul Williams and Art Garfunkel; hanging out with them musically, whenever they'd be passing through town.
Fast-forward to the present.
After a long sabbatical, Frances is now back to gigging, recording and playing with her band The Frantastics.
