They call me J5 or...... just 5. I'm from Mt. Vernon, NY. Some people be like "where?" But it's in the heart right next to the Bronx...money earnin. It bred the likings of myself, a rounded individual musically and in life. To me...everything is music/ music is everything...sight, sounds, thoughts, experiences...each has their own feeling and that's what I capture. I actually started producing in 94', I didn't have anyone to do trax for me so I rigged a Casio, a drumpad, a mic, and kareoke machine together and that was my first studio. That in itself is my essence.
