Born in Dauphin, MB and raised between the rez(Camperville,MB & PCFN) and Winnipeg, MB Strife grew to see and experience a lot. Violence and abuse were no strangers in his upbringing, as well as broken home disfunctions and a broken family life that pulled him back and forth between homes and new neighbourhoods.
Strife lived all over Winnipeg due to constant movement and change in life situation and became familiar with the worst area's of the city. In his younger teens he picked up rapping and producing and produced some of his most personal & theraputic material in bare bassment studios in these areas.
Speaking on lifes struggles, past demons, matters of the heart, crime, termoil and the occasional pouch of stress relief, he found a way of releasing anger and anxiety and relating to his people.
Now 22, Strife has set his goals on releasing a solo album in '09 - 2010 out of a range of tracks selected from the stack of cds and rhyme books that have collected over the years. This is no ordinary stack, and anyone who knows Strife could tell you his horde of tracks, freestyles, instrumentals and collaborations is a horde they'd love to get their hands on.
Final tracks are being written, recorded and mastered and the final touches are being made. Enjoy the calm before the storm, the bombs almost ready.
