Vishwesh Bhat works as an engineer and has thorough understanding of the intricacies of the two major streams of Indian classical music Carnatic and Hindustani. He is also an actor, composer and a cartoonist.
Ashwini Bhat is a gifted veena player and a vocalist, and has won several accolades for her chaste and pure rendition of classical music. Strong music fundamentals has helped her successfully imbibe different styles into her ever growing music vocabulary.
The couple together has worked hard to introduce the new age fusion music "Kan-fusion" blending the western music into the traditional kannada poetry to bring out their first music album "Ghama Ghama".
Their "De-fusion" music, a new age devotional fusion music, has been quite popular gaining importance among the younger generation and older as well.
Their extraordinary performances have been well received by the wide spectrum of audience at several places in US and India.
"Resurgence" is their new multi lingual album, re-visits the roots of devotional music with a modern day outlook.
Both served as Cultural Secretaries of the "Taranga Kannada Sangha of Memphis", USA are now back in Bangalore, India for their next phase of life.
