I've been a guitarist & vocalist since 1965. I joined my first band at 12 playing covers at private parties. It was a great way to meet girls. Soon I was playing Rock, R&B and Motown Soul at local fraternal organizations and labor union fundraisers, Jr High & High schools, college fraternity parties, and local television up through the hippie movement. In 1971 the luthier my Dad worked for introduced me to the wonderful world of Jazz. Except for a period from 1985 -1992 reliving my adolescence beginning with Top 40 then morphing into a fairly successful Retro Rock band doing very lucrative private & corporate parties, I have enjoyed playing Jazz, Bluegrass guitar and mandolin, fingerstyle guitar, a little Blues, live stage musical productions and serving the Lord playing traditional & contemporary Worship services in church. Today I am in 2-18 piece big bands with my son who is a fine trombonist. One does standards, latin, funk, and R&B. Another big band with 6 vocalists plays a mix of standards and Christian Hymns arranged in the classic Big Band - Modernaires era swing style.
I took the bands' pages down because of bands with creatively spelled vulgar names in the Soundclick swing charts & a guy with a VIP account prostituting his wife in a thumbnail to make a buck was featured on every other Soundclick player :( . Our bands' clients deserve better.
*Looks like SC is trying to clean the place up so I put up some pieces

Thanks for the friend add!
Hey Bro'! Good to see you on SoundClick. I haven't been active much as of late. I've been finishing the basement. Tim and I plunk around together on guitars and keyboards almost every night. Tim, Chris, and I have been jamming on weekends. So far we're just getting used to each other's styles. It often just sounds like we're tuning up but increasingly often we churn out a sweet sound. My puter crashed big time and I'm pumping all my discretionary cash into remodeling so I have to be patient. I'll be back into recording soon enough. I'm glad you ended up here. It's about the best place to be. I haven't been around the SoundClick Seniors board much lately either but it's got a lot of artists our age. It's no different than anyplace else, people are people no matter what age but in general they relate to our mature styles, moreso than others. catchya' soon, bro'
