Founded by Guitarists and Music Producer Gabriel Raphael, iLLuMiNaTiCa was originally called Spiritualized in 1985 and later changed names in 1990 although having the name before the Arista Recordings artists used it.
As a controversial under ground side project iLLuMiNaTiCa sounded like some sort of cult associated with the illuminati's., the videos do have many images which seem subliminal but more religious then pagan.
The project is based on Gabriel Raphael's own soul journey and spiritual growth with out pre occupations of commercial interests as a artists to create a sanctuary apart from hard rock punk bands and there crowds.
Several selections from a set since 1989 appeared in 1998 on the internet the first time, since the internet iLLuMiNaTiCa has never intended to sell the orks commercially but has instead been buzy in preventing others from doing it by using the music, unique typography, logo and art with out consent.

Peace everyone, Yes this is the original iLLuMiNaTiCa since 1989, active and going strong.The new set of recordings called Ascension will be put up before the end of 2008 with videos.
