My name is Dale Harper. I am a singer /songwriter from southern West Virginia who spent most of my life playing country, Christian, and southern rock music.
I was born and raised in WV. My father, Delbert Harper (1935-1982), began teaching me to play guitar when I was eight years old. Unfortunately when I was fifteen my dad died from a heart attack. My mom, Ella Harper (1947-1998), tried to raise me right, but I was an angry, confused young man. I left home at 16 and pretty much lived the next 10 years in nightclubs.
Today, I am a born-again Christian, have a supportive wife who is my rock, 4 kids, and one (Jacob) who has decided to follow in dads footsteps and plays bass and drums in my band, both on the road and in church.
To say the least... I am blessed!
