As an artist, it's all about perfecting and innovating your craft. Through time you test your own limits and break through hurdles that even you, yourself, never thought you could conquer. It's this same fight, and persistence that has put Quesfire in the top spot for underground hip-hop in New York City. In 2010, even the streets spoke, naming Quesfire the 'Artist to Watch' at the Underground Music Awards. This Bronx native has gone through the trenches, and with every song, he continues to rise. A kid who used music as an escape from the untimely death of his father, and the streets that were the Bronx in the 80s, Quesfire used all of the surrounding challenges as elements to fuel his art. His words soon became a reflection of what he saw, and where he wanted to see himself in the future. His 2005 debut project, Open Book, encompassed this the most. His journey led him to share the stage with artists such as Young Lord, and more recently, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Joell Ortiz, Fred The Godson and Lloyd Banks. He's now noted in the hip-hop circuit of the entire Tri-State area, not just New York City.
