#BRNWNR "I went from Homeboy to Harvard"

The artist, author, songwriter, music producer was born in the city of Cambridge, Ma. And raised by a mother that struggled to get by. HB came of age on the mischievous streets of Cambridge. Through exposure to poverty, drug abuse, drug selling and violence Harvard Blue learned to live the phrase “what you see depends on what you’re looking for.” Through focusing on life’s positives, HB navigated past pitfalls to beat America’s odds and statistics stacked against young black men. Armed with academic intelligence mixed with common sense, he advanced from public school to study and graduate from Morehouse College and earned a master’s degree from Harvard University. HB’s road to success was not without potholes, but adversity has given him a perspective that he weaves into the stories that he tells over instrumentals. Harvard Blue embodies the idea that every kid in America with a dream and the willingness to grind can one day turn dreams to reality.
