Born in Jamaica Queens and raised in Broward County Florida, Tti-Rred or Devin Thomas began writing raps in jr high school about 11 or 12 years old. He wanted deeply to reflfect his experiences, his environment, youthful political insight, and raw poetic license as a misguided and misunderstood youth immersed in death, dope, and divorce. A broken home rendered his 35+ y.o. G.E.D. educated mother juggling many day and night jobs to bring ends close enough for comfort leaving the troubled youth and his brother five years his senior to roam the streets south of both the poverty line and the mason dixon line.
Things began to look up in 2005 when he dedicated himself to a rap career with his mixtape album debut Tti-Rred's "Rred-Rrum". It received acclaim but little recognition the second let down that year after the untimely demise of his 47 y.o. father with whom his relationship was very close especially at the time of his passing.
He attacked 2006 like a banshee with three more highly regarded yet highly slept on mixtapes including his sophomore effort "D-Day:Curse of the Gemini (06-06-06)" which was relased on June 6,2006. That was followed by a beastly themed "Main Event Mixtape" soon there after. Tti-Rred trekked to New York City in the latter part of 2006 soon after the completion of his "Crack Album" mixtape and spreaded his affluence to his hometown of Queens New York!!!
2007 came with his extreme growth artistically and Rred Rum vol.2 on 08 is his(tory)
