The Origen was founded in 1995 by composer, producer and sound engineer Alexsey Zakharenko from Kyiv (Ukraine). There was a comment describing the first Origen’s CDs as the "commercial side of Tangerine Dream”. "Who cares?! Yes, this was progressive ambient, electronic music. But it was also fantastic journey into the composer's mind, and hopefully into your own…” In 2002 Alexey Zakharenko invited opera soprano Tanya Lubimenko to take part in the recordings of new age album "Ave Maria" and it was the good choice. In September 2002 "Ave Maria" (J. Caccini) was at TOP40 general charts and #1 at mp3.com New Age Charts and soon all tracks from this album were at the top of different international charts. "This is so good! Incredible sound, and mixing..and I cried when the vocals came in… this is "Dead Can Dance + Sarah Brightman. I will be listening out for more... how can I not.." The last album "New Age Opera" was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the band and include Origen’s favorite songs such as “Conquest of Paradise” by Vangelis, “Time to say Goodbye” and “Anytime, Anywhere” from Sarah Brightman, “Pie Jesu” by Andrew Llloyd Weber, “Lacrimosa” from Mozart’s Requiem and many more great songs performed by the best.
