Thawry Peguero Ortiz better known by his stage name La Terapia is a Reggaeton singer, songwriter and Latin trap artist. Thawry was born in Dominican Republic in July 17, 1988 and was raised in one of the humble neighborhoods of Santo Domingo. When he was 13 years old his parents decided to emigrate to the United States. That's where his interest in music begins, influenced by hip hop, Jamaican reggae, Latin American and Caribbean music.
In fact it was not until the middle of 2013 when he began to succeed, making himself known on social media with his first musical hit "Humo y Alcohol" and creating his own movement. That same year he released the video of the song "Tamo Liquidao" that was in the first positions in the local radios stations in Dominican Republic. In 2014 he released the official remix of the song "Ahi Ahi Ahi" featuring De La Ghetto with great success reaching at # 46 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart.
In 2015 La Terapia was kept busy making his second studio album "Mas Alla Del Tiempo" but it was not released until 2016 due to inconveniences of the record label. Then in 2017 he started working as an independent artist releasing the Musical Video of "Como Ella Se Mueve" which was a success reaching millions of views on YouTube.
After touring all of Latin America and the United States and establishing large fan bases in places like Venezuela and Colombia, he decided to release his third studio album "King Tera" that has had good acceptance from the public, since La Terapia is an artist very diverse in the type of genres he performs, among which are the Reggaeton, trap, hip hop, merengue, salsa, ballad and pop.
Respectively La Terapia had the opportunity to share stages with artists such as J Balvin, Plan B, J Alvarez, Don Omar, Nicky Jam, Farruko, De La Ghetto, Jory Boy, among others.

La música urbana recibe un nuevo exponente que promete la diferencia en el género, se trata del joven Thawry Peguero Ortiz, quien presenta credenciales en el ambiente artístico con el nombre de La Terapia. Desde su inicio, La Terapia creció escuchando música de los exponentes boricua Lito, Polaco y Tempo, de donde surgió su inspiración para iniciar su carrera artística con la introducción de una innovadora propuesta musical en el citado genero. Su propuesta musical se destaca y caracteriza porque conjuga diferentes ritmos, tales como el mambo, Hip Hop, Dembow, R&B y el Reggaeton. Su álbum titulado `` Welcome To The Alley`` estará listo a mediados de agosto de este ano 2012. Con la introducción de este álbum, La Terapia, ofrece a los amantes de la música urbana, una serie de temas plasmando un ritmo contagioso y bailable`` expresó Valdez, promotor del artista. La Terapia, está listo para desarrollar una agenda de promoción en escenarios de Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos, pero sus manejadores decidieron iniciar en República Dominicana, debido a que se trata de una plaza de suma importancia para dar a conocer su talento y creatividad.
