In 2001, I made a life changing decision to leave my carpentry work and persue my real dream - video production. I moved to Great Falls, Montana and started my academic life at the University of Great Falls. My goal was to gather the tools to start my own video production company.
During my years at UGF I accomplished many things:
- - - - - created a video tour of the campus
- - - - - provided live video streams of athletic events
- - - - - created two video presentations for the S.I.F.E team
- - - - - produced my first wedding video
After graduation, I started off to fulfill my dream. JAK Studios was born in 2003 as a collaborative effort between my brother Joel and myself. Providing a top quality product at a reasonable price was our ultimate goal.
However, as life has it, I found myself without funding or capital. So off I went to find work. I started at Vision Net with the intent of providing them with quality design and video production. I was able to further my talents in many ways. But I was still missing that one element - JAK Studios.
That brings us to the present: Portland, Oregon. JAK Studios has been reborn. Now with a degree, experience, and inspiration, I forge ahead with my dream.
