Mac Strength is a independent Hip Hop and RnB artist who writes and produces his own music. Mac Strength started playing music in the 4th grade. His first instrument was the recorder (A little black flute). He played the trombone in the fifth grade. He chose to play the trumpet from the 6th-8th grade and left his school being the second best trumpet player in Jazz Band. His school was known for having the best band in the San Jose Unified School District. Mac Strength was chosen to be student of the week at Castillero Middle School in 1989 for playing the trumpet and was given the coveted Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror solo. When asked who's gonna do the solo everyone turned and looked at Mac Strength and the students said, "Macky". They all smiled. (Mac Strength's child name was Macky until the 9th grade it became shortened.) for the up coming band and performing arts event. Teachers boasted about him saying that he was rapidly progressing. They watched him rapidly grow as an artist. They called him a child prodigy.
What they didn't know is that Mac Strength is the son of a Blues Legend Guitar Mac Cavalier of the Blues. His father received the key to the city of Sacramento Ca in 1990 on black history month for his musical contributions to the music scene and was inducted into the blues hall of fame the same year.
