With an eager ear and a passion for music, Akeem Lee aspires to lead the new wave of music production far into the future. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, Mr. Lee grew up listening to and loving artists such as, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, and Ray Charles. He holds dear his inspiration from the past, while looking to embrace the fore runners of the industry presently.
Early in his career, Mr. Lee was fortunate to work with Danity Kane, from MTV's Making the Band 4. He produced the beat for the track, "Lights Out", featured on their second album, which went platinum. "Lights Out" reached as high as 101 on the Billboard charts in the year 2008, just shy of reaching the top 100 for the year.
Akeem Lee's love for music and desire for greatness keeps him motivated and always working to become better. Keeping busy by working with local and up and coming artists, Mr. Lee is always willing to work with someone new. Akeem prides himself on not being typecast or tied down to a specific genre. He loves all music genres and creating different sounds for different artists. Akeem Lee is a gifted pianist, with a natural ear for music that touches the soul.
