No Longer I 19For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; 20and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God,* who loved me and gave himself for me. Sometimes I think that we should ask ourselves a question. Who do I live my life for; who does it belong to? At times I get the feeling that to many times we do things for our own selves. I think many times we only think of ourselves, and not others even those whom we love. We do not tend to think how the things that we say or do affect them. Mostly, we do not take time out to see how the things that we do affect the One who Loves us the most. He loves us-humanity so much that He demonstrated His Love towards us on Calvary's Cross by sending His one and only one to die for our sins. God-the Father above demonstrated His Love for us by punishing His Son Jesus Christ for our sins. Even as the Writer Paul puts it in Corinthians; He made Him who knew no sin to be sin that we should be made the righteousness of God. What greater Love is there out there? None, you will not be able to find one demonstrating His Love for you as was clearly seen on Calvary's Cross. In giving His life for us Jesus Christ made it possible for us to have a relationship with God-the Father. Because of the gap, or the rather the void, that was once between humanity and God is now irradiated because of Jesus the Christ. He breeched that gap for us, you can even say that He became the door to God just for us. It was the Gospel Writer John the Apostle who said that "I am the door," meaning Jesus, He is the one and only door to God. There is no other way! Having a relationship with God the Father we must realize that we should not live for self, but the lives that we live we should live it for God. We must know that all that we have should not be for ourselves, look at Christ for a sec on the Cross. Do you think that while Jesus was on the Cross He was thinking of Him self? Who do you think He was thinking of? Who do you think that He died for? The thing is coming to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is just one step in having a relationship with God. We must know who we live for; we must realize who is indwelling within us. Because of, His death and resurrection, the Holy Spirit-the Spirit of God-the Spirit of Christ is able to reside in those who believe in Him and walk after His ways. He is living within you if you know who God is and if you have a relationship with Him. Not only if you know about Him, because there is a huge difference in knowing about God, and knowing God. When you know Him you have a personal relationship with Him, His Spirit witnesses with your spirit telling you that you are His. Therefore, it should no more be about you and me, but it should be about Him. It should be about what He wants, and not what we want for ourselves. How long will it take you and I to realize that we will not be able to find fulfillment in our lives until we are doing what we were created to do in the first place. I want you to know that in order for the created or the creation to know who they are and their purpose for being created they need to know the Creator. Many Blessings, Chris C. Manager of Forerunner
